On 11 to 13th July Emma inhabited our Beach Hut on the Victoria Harbour Dunbar. With her wonderful easy way she interacting with people of all ages who visited the harbour, especially on the especially busy Lifeboat Day. She made small porcelain milestones with the visitors and developed her new project which is a collaborative mapping of the landscapes of Scotland which she hasn’t been able to visit.
MILESTONES is an ongoing, collaborative project that aims to cover 1,000 miles of walking in Scotland. Anybody can pledge miles and place porcelain ‘milestones’ at appropriate intervals to record their journey. Choosing any route over any distance, together we will collate images, reflections and responses to being in the Scottish landscape. And when we reach 1,000 miles we’ll just carry on….
