Celebrating John Muir’s passion for the outdoors to mark John Muir’s birthday there will be a range of events taking place across East Lothian.
This is UN Year of Light and is also International Year of Soil, which offers a unique opportunity for North Light Arts to collaborate with Dunbar Science Festival, and Zero Waste Dunbar to explore the theme of light and soil. Light is important as it helps plants undergo photosynthesis and is needed to warm the earth. Soils are essential to our ecosystems, playing a key role in the carbon cycle, storing and filtering water, and improving resilience to floods and droughts.
Events will include:

This will be the second in a series of informal gatherings each with it’s own theme to lead the conversation, discussions, talks and presentations.
