John Muir Open Exhibition | Opportunity to show work in: MESSAGE to the EARTH.
Artwork can be an existing work, but should nod to the theme of the exhibition – the fragility and sustainability of our earth. Demonstrating the ways in which environmental arts can encourage people to gain more empathy for the idea and actions we need to see towards sustainability.
Exhibitiion will take place from 1stSeptember for installation and opening on 4th September to 31stOctober at the Dunbar Town House Gallery.
Works will be shown alongside the invited artist Robert Powell and the artist Natalie Taylor who will help to develop the community postcard project: Message to the Earth.
We can offer a small installation cost to the selected works. These can be in any art form and will be selected by a panel.
Submission: Art works should be submitted by email with a short description and up to 3 images.
Deadline: to be received by midnight on Monday 9th August
Note: On October 17th the exhibition will link with the Pilgrimage to Cop26 in Glasgow, following the John Muir Way – by artist Jonathan Baxter. The walk will gather and will start with events in Dunbar.
