Growing Arts SEEDS Project will be a new year long project of inovative and exciting environmental arts workshops engaging with our local rural environment. We will deliver arts activities with adults and children who find it hard to get involved, exploring ways of engaging people with their local environment.
A number of participatory artists will work with small groups to cut across barriers, both physical and perceived bringing people together to focus on creative and environmental partnerships; enabling the arts to inspire lives, cultivate learning, encourage personal development, promote well-being and create new connections for a better future for people in our rural area.
The the artists will work closely with the groups to explore the potential of our local environment through a broad range of approaches; gathering stories, recycling, walking, growing and making personal or communal artworks with the aim of breaking down barriers, increasing access to the arts, sowing the seeds of environmental awareness and enhancing community cohesion and well-being across generations.
