North Light Arts can offer a range of opportunities to any age and we would love to hear from you. If your interested in contemporary arts, the Garden Lane project and environmental issues or just working with other people.
Wether you can offer only one day or one day a week, if you have skills to share/ would like to know more/ would just like to offer your support we would be happy to hear from you.
We are currently developing the community garden at Garden Lane behind Dunbar High Street in collaboration with The Ridge, creating an outdoor arts space and Wild flower garden; We will be developing community workshops in the garden, in the landscape and other venues; We are working with Donald Urquhart and the primary school on the public art work he is installing on Dunbar Harbour; with vulnerable groups in Dunbar and we have plans for other projects, events and festivals engaging with the landscape of East Lothian, its heritage and sustainability.
Part of the John Muir Residency each year and other project involve exhibition work which covers a range of creative, administration and front of house experiences; budgeting, print ,promotion, social media, sourcing materials, installation, invidulation, communication with the public, hospitality, documentation, blogging, reporting.
There will also be the valuable opportunity to gain an insight into the working practices of emerging and established contemporary environmental artists.
