Floers festival & Exhibition

Floers festival & Exhibition

The John Muir Artists in Residence will present this exhibition as a result of their research and exploration of the intertidal environment of Dunbar and the John Muir Way.

North Light Arts are so pleased to be working with these two nationally acclaimed artists. We are also pleased to be able to welcome Hannah back to Dunbar as she has worked with North Light Arts on two occasions, she will be further developing that relationship with the inter-tidal lands of the John Muir Way, also the concern of the respected artist Alec Finlay, and we are really excited to see how their residencies develop and complement each other. The resulting rhythmic, multi-discipline works will emanate from a personal response to this unique landscape and the fragile relationship between land and sea.

Local people have offered their hospitality while the artists are resident in Dunbar and this wonderful welcome is a real opportunity to meet people and get to know our community. Their research will also benefit from work with local specialist who can offer skills, expertise and local knowledge.

Many of these specialists will support the opening event and we hope you can join us for some or all of the day. Refreshments will be served at the Town House.
